Support Group: How to Lose Weight

If there was one thing I would have loved while I was on my weight loss journey - it would be a shoulder to cry on and a team of people to support me through the battle. So I made a promise to myself when I lost my weight that I would be there for ANYONE who was facing their own weight loss battle.

My weekly support groups have now been running for nine years! And we have enjoyed some wonderful success stories on how to lose weight fast and healthy.

Each week you weigh in privately with me and we talk about how your week has been and what you need to do to move forward. Then we get together as a group and talk about weight loss issues and find ways to solve them. We cover everything from depression to self esteem building, beating cravings, diet tips and general advice. There's always lots of laughter, sometimes the odd tear or two, but we always come away with practical advice to keep moving forward with our journey. During the support groups we do activities such as aerobics classes, line dancing, yoga and much more. It is also flexible enough for you to participate at your own pace until you're capable of increasing your stamina.
- Weekly 20 minute walking sessions where those who wish to can join in.

We also arrange "cooking nights" where members are invited to prepare a healthy dish to bring along to the group, to share with other members. They are also asked to provide their recipe and method for analysis to ensure its healthy input. These recipes are made available for all members who wish to attain them.

There are no gym equipment, no mirrors and no skimpy gym gear allowed! Bring a friend and take the first steps to successful weight loss story.
